Each year, the Savannah-Chatham County Public School System reserves 1% of the total amount of Title I, Part A funds it receives to meet family engagement requirements.
Accessibility
In compliance with the parent and family engagement requirements established in Section 1116 of the ESSA, the district's family engagement coordinator will communicate and collaborate with the Office of Student Support Services to ensure full participation opportunities for parents with limited English proficiency, parents with disabilities, and parents of migrant children, including providing information and school reports in a language parents can understand.
JOINTLY DEVELOPED
The parents, students and staff of Garden City Elementary developed this School-Parent/Family Compact for Achievement. Teachers suggested home learning strategies, an Annual Survey was conducted to gain parent feedback, and students told us what would help them learn. A Parent Forum is held each year to review the Compact and make changes based on student needs.
Parents are welcome to contribute comments at any time.
